First Time Drug Charge?

If this is the first time you or your family member has been charged with a drug offense, then I can petition to have the case heard in Drug Court. This is how it works: the judge takes a plea “in abeyance” in state court, and the case is then transferred to Drug Court.  Drug Court has a different set of rules and different programs from those in a state or federal courthouse. I am familiar with all of them.  Whether the charge is for meth, cocaine, heroin, “date rape” drugs, marijuana or another illegal substance, or whether you have a “dirty UA,” I offer prospective clients a free initial phone consultation to discuss their drug crime defense. Contact me at Catherine R. Repeat Offense?

If this is not your first drug arrest, then your case will be sent into the Utah state court system. If you or someone you know is about to be arraigned on a drug charge, you know that the stakes are potentially very high. You want someone who has successfully handled these types of cases before.
