Juvenile charged over private list at Utah middle school

A Heber City, Utah teen who says that he was the victim of bullying is facing juvenile charges of harassment and threats for allegedly writing down his personal thoughts on a piece of paper. Law enforcement says that a middle-school teacher in Heber City, Utah grew concerned over alleged behavior of a 14-year-old student.

Police arrest Salt Lake juvenile in year-old armed robbery case

Police have arrested a juvenile on suspicion that the teen was involved in an armed robbery in Holladay, Utah last March. Authorities claim that two men walked into a jewelry store on Highland Drive March 13, 2012. Authorities say that the two wore ski masks to cover their faces. Investigators say that each of the suspects brandished guns and ordered everyone in the store to get on the ground.

Former Perry, Utah cop pleads to bribery in friend's DUI case

A former Perry, Utah police officer has been sentenced in his plea deal on bribery charges that alleged the man had tried to sway a state trooper in a separate drunk driving case. Authorities say that the former cop bribed the trooper to miss a hearing associated with a DUI case involving a former Ogden, Utah police officer. The Ogden man reportedly was charged with DUI, but was seeking a job that required a commercial driver's license. Authorities accused the former Perry officer of seeking to assist the former Ogden officer in being able to attain the CDL.

Salt Lake woman accused of assaulting husband with paring knife

Salt Lake Police officers arrested a woman Sunday on suspicion of aggravated assault after an alleged domestic dispute. Law enforcement says that the 51-year-old woman had some kind of argument with her husband, but police say that the woman and her husband refused to discuss what the alleged argument was about. Police claim that the 55-year-old husband showed signs of minor injuries and apparently took the woman into custody at the couple's Salt Lake apartment.

Fort Duchesne man accused of attacking woman with machete

Deputies in Uintah County arrested a man at his home Sunday morning after an alleged altercation following a house party at the residence. Law enforcement responded to the residence in the Richardson subdivision of Fort Duchesne on the belief that a stabbing had occurred at the residence. Law enforcement says that deputies were not able to gain entry upon their initial arrival.

Salt Lake City woman arrested after call for help in finding son

A 34-year-old mother of three could not find her 9-year-old son at home Friday. The Salt Lake City mother reached out to authorities for help in locating her missing son. She was at home with her other two children, who are aged 2- and 11-years-old. Authorities apparently responded to the woman's call for help. However, at the end of the encounter with police, the mother was arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

Sandy, Utah man charged with federal child pornography charges

Federal officials in Utah claim that an undercover agent in New Zealand received images of a prepubescent female over the Internet. The undercover agent claims that a man in Sandy, Utah had sent 13 images, including some nude photographs of the prepubescent girl. New Zealand officials reportedly contacted U.S. officials in Utah about the pictures in October.

Murray woman faces attempted homicide, drug charges after domestic dispute

Police in Murray, Utah accuse a woman of attempted murder and assault charges after an alleged domestic dispute with her live-in boyfriend. It is not clear in media reports what brought police to the woman's home. However, police say that the woman was being assaulted by her boyfriend when she used a knife.

New mother in Utah accused of abuse and endangerment over drugs

Prosecutors in Summit County, Utah accuse a new mother of child abuse after the baby was delivered in late August. The criminal charges were filed this month against the woman that allege her newborn boy was delivered with symptoms of drug addiction. Authorities claim that the boy and the mother each tested positive for controlled substances.

Provo Police arrest man for alleged storage shed burglaries

Provo Police say that they received a report Tuesday that a number of storage sheds had been broken into. Law enforcement responded to the location on State Street in Provo and say that roughly five sheds appeared to have been breached.
